We are seeking a highly skilled Java Spring Boot API Developer / Architect to lead the design and development of robust, cloud-native backend systems. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in greenfield projects, enjoys solving complex backend challenges, and can drive architectural decisions while mentoring others.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect and implement RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Lead backend development efforts, including hands-on coding, code reviews, and mentoring team members.
  • Design and implement scalable backend patterns such as Saga, CQRS, and Singleton where appropriate.
  • Deploy and manage applications in on-prem cloud environments using Kubernetes.
  • Write and maintain unit and integration tests using JUnit to ensure code quality and reliability.
  • Contribute to enterprise-wide infrastructure and system design, supporting distributed systems and microservices.
  • Define and enforce architectural standards, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous delivery and DevOps practices.
Qualifications:
  • Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) and on-prem cloud deployments.
  • Proficiency with Kubernetes for container orchestration and deployment management.
  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and integration patterns.
  • Experience with architectural patterns like Saga, CQRS, or Singleton.
  • Familiarity with JUnit and test-driven development.
  • Strong grasp of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
