World Wide Technology is looking for a Sr. CMDB / ITSM Engineer. This role is part of WWT s Strategic Resourcing services and is a contract role. The candidate will be supporting a WWT customer and will be employed by one of WWT s preferred partners. The partner will provide full compensation and benefit information prior to employment with the partner.

Rate/Salary: A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this position is $60.00 to $70.00 hourly (W2/C2C). Actual pay will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs, and will be set by your employer. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in base pay.
Job Description:
World Wide Technology (WWT) is seeking a Sr. CMDB / ITSM Engineer for a 6 Months contract position, as part of our Strategic Resourcing Services and staff augmentation efforts.
In this role, the selected consultant will work directly with a WWT client, supporting their internal team and business objectives. While WWT facilitates the position, the consultant will be employed by one of WWT s preferred partner organizations, which will provide complete details regarding compensation and benefits before employment.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Sr. CMDB / ITSM Engineer to design, maintain, and optimize our IT Service Management platform and Configuration Management Database (CMDB). This role is critical to ensuring accurate tracking of IT assets, seamless integration of service processes, and alignment with ITIL best practices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in ITSM tool configuration, CMDB data modeling, automation, and service workflow optimization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+ years of experience in ITSM and CMDB engineering.
- Experience with ServiceNow is required.
- Hands-on experience with ITSM platforms (preferably ServiceNow) and CMDB implementations.
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes and best practices.
- Experience with discovery tools and integration methods (APIs, ETL tools).
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
- Experience in working with and mentoring team members.
- The ability to communicate with stakeholders and customers.
Preferred Skills:
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator or ITSM Implementation Specialist certification.
- Knowledge of cloud and hybrid IT environments.
- Experience with configuration management for large-scale enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (ISO 20000, ITIL v4, SOC 2).
