Job Details

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Data Center Technician to support day-to-day operations within a high-availability data center environment. This role involves maintaining and troubleshooting hardware, managing cabling infrastructure, and ensuring uptime and reliability of all critical systems.

Job Title: Data Center Technician
Location: Henrico, VA (Onsite)
Duration: Long-Term Contract

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2-3+ years of experience in a data center or IT infrastructure support role
  • Strong understanding of server hardware components and troubleshooting
  • Proficient with structured cabling and cable management best practices
  • Experience with fiber optics, including LC/SC connectors and cleaning procedures
  • Familiarity with IP networking concepts and basic switch/router setup
  • Comfortable using command-line tools on Linux systems
  • Ability to lift and install hardware (up to 50 lbs), climb ladders, and work in tight spaces
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
