Description
We are in search of a proficient Web Designer for our team based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This role involves understanding both graphic design and computer programming, as they will be responsible for creating the look, layout, and features of our websites. As part of our IT team, the successful candidate will have the flexibility to perform a range of duties within their core skillset.
Responsibilities:
Appreciate and apply usability in the user experience while designing websites
Exhibit a strong drive to be creative while respecting the needs of the project's stakeholders
Overcome the technical constraints and usability implications of website design for multiple device types and explain these implications to non-technical business stakeholders
Produce wireframes or mockup documents of design work for early review and approval by stakeholders, and accept feedback for further design work/refinement
Familiarize with software development tools needed for illustrations, artwork, and photography alteration/editing used as graphical content on the sites
Knowledge of using SFTP to publish a website, enabling interstitial website artifacts to be uploaded and reviewed by stakeholders
Layout, navigation, and static content for websites using only pure HTML, CSS, and minimal JavaScript
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process is essential
Ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements and tasks
Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Maintain inter-department relationships to resolve customer issues
Communicate effectively with IT team members, cross-functional teams, and third parties.
Requirements
Proficiency in Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Flash, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop
Experience in using a Content Management System (CMS)
Strong knowledge of CSS, HTML, and HTML5
Demonstrated ability in Design and Graphic Design
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Experience in responsive design
Understanding of SEO principles
Knowledge of web accessibility standards
Ability to meet deadlines and handle stress in a fast-paced work environment
Willingness to keep up-to-date with the latest web design trends and techniques.
