Job Description
You will be the Mechanical Engineer for the Precision Fires Launchers team. Our team is responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge launchers, including the M270A1 MLRS and M142 HIMARs, which are the core of the US Army's precision fire missile artillery system.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing Mechanical Engineering and Product Design support for production and Industrial Engineering Services programs, ensuring the successful design and development of our launchers. You will work closely with the engineering team to bring innovative solutions to life.
Your responsibilities will include:
3D model manipulation and design
Interacting with the engineering team to resolve design and production issues
Drawing preparation and release
Supplier support and shop liaison
Tolerance analysis and resolution
Travel to supplier and production sites as required

Basic Qualifications
An ME or AE Bachelor of Science Degree with
mimimum 2 years experience
Experience in 3D CAD (Creo preferred) and PLM
(Windchill)
Fluent in MF Office Software Tools
Familiarity with GD&T principles, engineering
change process experience.
Desired skills
Experience in ground vehicle desing, production
support, and manufacturing liaison
Experience supporting troubleshooting and
supplier engagement a bonus.
MRB dispositioning experience.

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $70,100 - $123,625. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
