Lilly has initiated a multi-year QMS transformation program that will enable 1) simplified, standardized, and optimized QMS processes, 2) innovation and agility for unprecedented growth with new sites, modalities, and partnerships, and 3) modernization of solution infrastructure by moving to cloud-based solutions and advanced technology. The MQ Tech@Lilly Global Quality team is actively looking for a Business Process Architect to join the NextGen QMS Program.

What You'll Be Doing

As Business Process Architect, you will partner with business SMEs, our QMS software vendor, and Lilly's service integrator on the design, configuration, and implementation of the NextGen QMS solution. You will leverage technical and business process knowledge to influence strategy and design decisions that advance program goals of harmonized, simplified processes and integration for advanced analytics and AI capabilities.

How You Will Succeed
  • Challenge historical way of working and think boldly.
  • Explore and embrace new tools and technologies that accelerate solution delivery and pave the way for an agile support/enhancement model.
  • Partner with application architects to influence technical direction of software vendors, service providers, and the service delivery teams.
  • Ensure solution design and documentation facilitates strong support processes with robust monitoring and error handling.
  • Ensure interface and data needs are understood and the necessary technologies and architecture are in place to meet these needs.
  • Work in close partnership with Business teams as well as other IT application teams to design and deliver sustainable integrations with NextGen QMS solution.
  • Communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and influence decision making at senior leadership level.
  • Mentor IT colleagues (Lilly and contractors) to support the NextGen QMS solution.
  • Ensure adherence to all quality, compliance, data integrity requirements.
  • Establish key relationships with business users and other Tech@Lilly areas.


What You Should Bring
  • Extensive experience with designing and developing large IT solutions (integrated process, applications, data and technology).
  • Quality mindset and passion for designing robust solutions and error-proof processes.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Experience with identifying risks that could impact the system's functionality or security.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders and articulate complex concepts.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Technical expertise and leadership to turn ideas and concepts into solutions.
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic to learn and share ideas and solutions effectively with management and colleagues.
  • Ability to build relationships across dimensions of difference, ask questions & invite others to contribute.
  • Experience with Computer System Validation.


Your Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of relevant work experience.
