Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced SAP P2P (Procure-to-Pay) Tower Lead to oversee the AMS (Application Management Support) function for SAP S/4HANA. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP MM (Materials Management), strong functional knowledge of Plant Maintenance (PM), and a solid grasp of cross-functional integrations with modules such as FI, SD, and WM. This role requires both strategic leadership and hands-on functional capabilities in resolving complex P2P issues in an S/4HANA landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) functional tower in the S/4HANA AMS environment, ensuring timely and high-quality support.
  2. Serve as the SME (Subject Matter Expert) for SAP MM, including procurement, inventory management, and invoice verification.
  3. Provide functional support and issue resolution across SAP PM (Plant Maintenance), especially where it interfaces with procurement and inventory processes.
  4. Manage ticket queues, SLA adherence, root cause analysis, and service improvement plans for the P2P area.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (FI, SD, WM, Ariba/SRM, Technical) to resolve end-to-end process issues and integration-related challenges.
  6. Act as the primary contact point for stakeholders and users for ongoing SAP P2P issues and enhancements.
  7. Drive AMS best practices, process standardization, and automation initiatives within the P2P domain.
  8. Support minor enhancements, testing, and coordination for S/4HANA updates and release cycles.
  9. Coach and mentor junior consultants and ensure proper knowledge documentation and transition management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Deep functional knowledge and hands-on experience in SAP MM (Purchasing, Inventory Management, Release Strategies, Invoice Verification).
  2. Solid working knowledge of SAP PM maintenance planning, work orders, and integration with MM.
  3. Experience with cross-module integrations, especially with FI (GR/IR, invoice processing), SD (third-party procurement), and WM (goods movement).
  4. Strong understanding of S/4HANA functionalities, Fiori apps relevant to P2P, and differences from ECC.
  5. Experience in managing AMS processes ticket lifecycle, SLA, knowledge base, incident vs service request handling.
  6. Ability to analyze complex business issues, identify root causes, and recommend process/system improvements.
  7. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  8. Familiarity with ITIL framework and service delivery processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience in S/4HANA RISE environments.
  2. Basic understanding of SAP Ariba or SRM integrations.
  3. Exposure to SAP GRC, role-based authorizations in P2P.
  4. Knowledge of tools like SAP Solution Manager, Jira, ServiceNow, or other ITSM platforms.
