Job Details

Role: Cloud Engineer (Mid-Level)

Location: Remote

Clearance: Public Trust or Higher levels

Responsibilities:

  • Work in an Agile environment as part of a full design and development team, participating in scrum ceremonies and supporting our customers.
  • Support the development team in deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting web applications.
  • Build, design, deploy, and monitor new CI/CD workflows and enhance existing ones.
  • Plan, develop, and deploy infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and Ansible.
  • Use Ansible for configuration management, server maintenance, and change tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with security requirements by implementing and managing cloud security controls and policies.
  • Collaborate with application teams on migration efforts.
  • Respond to incidents, handle alerts, and resolve production issues.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot performance and reliability issues in development and production environments.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of processes, configurations, and system changes.
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across infrastructure and applications.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years of professional experience planning, building, and supporting AWS Cloud and DevSecOps environments.
  • Education: Bachelor s degree in an IT-related field required.
  • Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
  • Proven experience designing, building, and deploying solutions in AWS Cloud Services (EKS, EC2, Lambda).
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD frameworks and container orchestration using Kubernetes, Harness, Docker, and Jenkins.
  • Solid DevSecOps background automation, security integration, testing, and deployment across development stages.
  • Experience with AWS Kinesis for data stream management and performance monitoring.
  • Familiarity with Harness (desired).
  • Proficient in application and system monitoring tools such as CloudWatch and/or Splunk.
  • Experience with Cloud Bees, GitHub Actions, and/or GitLab for version control and workflow automation.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles such as secure-by-design and zero-trust architecture.
  • Experience using SonarQube for code quality and vulnerability analysis.
  • Familiarity with Nexus IQ and/or Check Marx for vulnerability management (preferred).
  • Experience with Prisma Cloud / Prisma Twist lock for vulnerability management (preferred).
  • Hands-on experience conducting vulnerability scans.
  • Strong background in Linux and scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Experience setting up and configuring monitoring tools such as Nagios, ELK, Grafana, and/or Prometheus (preferred).
  • Experience working within Agile teams and applying DevOps principles for collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices and how to apply them in CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
