As a Software Engineer II on our Quality Engineering team, you'll play a critical role in shaping how customers see, feel, and interact with our devices. Your work will span multiple disciplines, collaborating closely with hardware engineers, software developers, and design experts to validate advanced display technologies and ensure every detail meets the highest standards of excellence. From color accuracy and brightness to responsiveness and durability, you'll influence product experiences from concept through launch, leveraging your expertise to drive quality and innovation at scale.

Required Qualifications:
Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.

Responsibilities
- You will work with partners across teams by creating test plans for display software technologies. You'll also manage partnerships with vendors directly responsible for test plan execution and ensure that testing processes align with industry best practices.
- Leveraging available data, you'll work within the display group to identify areas where additional development is needed.
- You will facilitate software quality testing by collaborating with multiple feature teams to leverage tools and technology and implement automated testing. You'll also create a plan for manual testing procedures, coordinate with each function to understand an issue, and participate in mitigation planning.
- You will enable stakeholder communication by keeping relevant parties informed of important issues, helping with regular vendor communication, and by using partnership to influence display feature decisions. You'll also create and improve on quality testing best practices.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field AND 2+ years software engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C++, C#, or Python
- OR equivalent experience
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Experience with scripting and/or programming languages such as PowerShell, C#, C++, or Python.
- Experience writing test documentation such as test plans, procedures, and/or reports.
- Experience developing test solutions to verify camera electrical, power, thermal and optical performance.
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to clearly express technical concepts in verbal and written forms.
- Experience delivering test automation using OpenTap
- Experience interfacing color analyzer HW tools with test automation
- Detailed knowledge of display technologies in the Windows OS
