Job Title:Video Conferencing Engineer

Location: Torrance , CA

Duration: 12+ Months

Description

Daily Tasks Perfomed = Lead the design and development of video conferencing and teams meeting room solutions that are scalable, secure, and user-friendly
Conduct industry research, benchmark analysis, and best practices to identify and evaluate emerging technologies and trends in digital collaboration
Develop strategic roadmaps, architectures, and standards for digital collaboration platforms and systems
Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to ensure alignment of business objectives, technical requirements, and solution delivery
Provide technical guidance and support to project teams and end users on video conferencing and teams meeting room solutions
Monitor and measure the performance, availability, and quality of video conferencing and teams meeting room solutions
Create documentation, training materials, and presentations for digital collaboration solutions
Develop multi-year upgrade and maintenance programs for all of North America region.
Collaborate with peers at Honda Motor Japan on strategic direction in this space.
Manage projects / programs relating to implementing video conferencing/teams rooms across the North American footprint.
What will this person be working on = Responsible for designing and implementing innovative solutions for video conferencing and Teams Meeting Room planning. You will work with business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to understand the current and future needs of the organization and recommend the best fit technologies and processes. You will also create roadmaps, architectures, and standards for the Unified Communication Platforms across all North America Honda locations.
Position Success Criteria (Desired) - 'WANTS' = At least 5 years of experience in designing, deploying, and managing collaboration solutions, such as Microsoft Teams (preferred), Zoom, Cisco Webex, etc.
A strong knowledge of collaboration hardware, such as cameras, microphones, speakers, displays, touchscreens, whiteboards, etc., and how to select and install them according to the meeting room size, layout, and purpose.
A solid understanding of network protocols, security standards, cloud services, and data protection policies that are relevant for collaboration solutions.
A certification or accreditation (or related work experience) from a recognized organization or vendor that demonstrates their expertise in collaboration solutions, such as Microsoft Certified: Teams Administrator Associate (preferred), Zoom Certified Professional, Cisco Certified Collaboration Professional, etc.
Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders from different backgrounds and levels of technical knowledge.
Ability to work collaboratively with other professionals, such as solution architects, project managers, developers, etc.
