Job Details

Stratacent is seeking a highly qualified Senior Human Resources Specialist to join our team in New York. As a Senior HR Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing all aspects of our HR operations, including, employee relations, performance management, compliance, training and development, and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, update and maintain HR policies and procedures/ handbook to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Handle employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievances.
  • Lead performance management initiatives, including conducting performance evaluations and providing feedback to employees and managers.
  • Coordinate employee training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge within the organization.
  • Manage benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and communications.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support organizational goals and initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and documentation in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as maintaining HR records, processing employee paperwork, and managing HR-related documentation.
  • Stay updated on IT industry trends and best practices in HR to make recommendations for continuous improvement within the technical teams.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in human resources management in an IT consulting and Services industry, with a focus on employee relations, compliance, performance management, training and development.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in HRIS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • HRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is highly desirable.
