Company Background: Our client, a major employer in the area, is looking for a Production Engineer to be part of its team in its North American operations.

Job Description:

• Supporting machine specifications, procurement, validation, installation, pre-productions trials and launch of battery production lines
• Supporting battery manufacturing trials to confirm equipment safety, quality, operation availability, and overall efficiency
• Directly supporting other engineers with the construction and installation of battery equipment
• Participate in cross functional working groups across the local facility and corporate departments to achieve project goals
• Demonstrate the ability to quickly learn new processes as required
• Organize and guide cross functional activities across traditional company barriers with minimal assistance from management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering or similar technical field or 10+ years of equivalent
• Experience in production preparation of manufacturing and experience in execution of capital projects, preferably from initial planning to start of production
• Experience in creating and implementing processes in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in detail schedule creation and utilization on capital projects for new or modified equipment
• AutoCAD experience, including the ability to read, interpret and modify 2D drawings
