Job Title: Design Project Manager / Program Manager (UI/UX Experience)
Location: Princeton, NJ (Hybrid 2 Days Onsite Per Week)

Job Description

We re seeking an experienced and proactive Design Project Manager / Program Manager with a strong background in digital design and UI/UX project delivery to join our team in Princeton, NJ. This role requires a highly organized individual capable of managing complex, multi-disciplinary design projects from start to finish. You ll work at the intersection of design, technology, and business enabling seamless collaboration and high-quality digital outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage multiple digital design projects ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
Act as a primary liaison between internal teams and clients, gathering requirements and aligning goals.
Facilitate Agile ceremonies (sprints, stand-ups, retrospectives) and maintain Scrum discipline.
Draft and manage Statements of Work (SoWs), project estimates, and detailed budgeting.
Oversee resource planning, ensuring the right talent is allocated to the right workstreams.
Conduct and lead design critiques, stakeholder presentations, and executive reviews.
Identify and mitigate project risks early to ensure smooth execution.
Continuously refine project workflows to improve design delivery processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

10+ years of experience in project/program management, preferably in design studios or agencies.
Proven track record in UI/UX project management and digital product lifecycle understanding.
Strong knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies; CSM or PMI-ACP certification is a plus.
Demonstrated experience with budgeting, SoWs, and financial planning for creative projects.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; client-facing experience is essential.
Hands-on familiarity with tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, JIRA, Asana, Trello.
Ability to navigate cross-functional teams including design, development, marketing, and product.
Solution-oriented, self-starter with a proactive mindset and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

Experience in digital consulting or creative agencies
Background in design thinking and human-centered design
Familiarity with tools like Miro, Confluence, Slack
