  • Location: Onsite in Marysville, OH
  • Pay Range: $72.00 $79.00 per hour, based on experience and internal equity
  • Schedule: Full-time, contract; long-term multi-year opportunity
  • Work Type: Onsite 5 days in office

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Architect to design, implement, and manage modern data architectures, security, and governance frameworks across enterprise systems. This individual will partner with IT, analytics, and business stakeholders to translate high-level business requirements into scalable data models, secure architectures, and actionable insights.

The ideal candidate will bring over 10 years of data architecture experience, expertise in cloud data lakes, data warehouses, and security frameworks, and strong leadership skills to influence both technical teams and senior business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate business requirements into data models, metadata, test data, and quality standards.
  • Lead peer reviews, quality assurance, and define standards for data management and architecture.
  • Partner with IT, analytics, and business teams to understand consumer needs and develop solutions.
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging data technologies for storage, management, and analytics.
  • Establish and enforce data governance frameworks for internal teams and vendor partners.
  • Design data protection solutions (DB, table, column, API) aligned to enterprise data security principles.
  • Manage confidentiality, compliance, and security rules for enterprise data sharing.
  • Deliver business value by enhancing data pipeline performance and orchestration.
  • Design and maintain databases, warehouses, and data lakes optimized for business use cases.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience designing and implementing enterprise data models (e.g., Erwin).
  • Hands-on experience with cloud data lakes, warehousing, modeling, and analysis.
  • Proficiency in modern data architecture and tools:
    • Cloud services (AWS).
    • Real-time data distribution (Kinesis, Kafka, Dataflow).
    • Data warehouse tools (Redshift, Snowflake, Databricks).
  • Experience with multiple database platforms: DB2, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Couchbase, MongoDB.
  • Strong understanding of ER modeling, metadata systems, and data quality/security tools.
  • Knowledge of BI tools: Informatica, Power BI, Tableau.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders.

Desired Skills:

  • 3+ years of Big 4 consulting experience (preferred).
  • Stable work history with large enterprise organizations.
