Title : SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing Consultant Process Industry
Location: New York (Onsite Position)
Duration : Contract-to-Hire (6 months)
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing (MFG) Consultant with strong hands-on experience in process industry environments. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of core manufacturing processes, production planning, and shop floor execution within SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.
Exposure to Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) is a strong plus, but Manufacturing (PP, PP-PI, MFG) should be the candidate's primary skillset. The consultant will play a key role in implementing, optimizing, and supporting SAP manufacturing solutions aligned with best practices for process manufacturing
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and deliver SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing solutions for process industry clients.
  • Perform end-to-end configuration and implementation of SAP manufacturing modules (PP, PP-PI, MFG, QM, IM).
  • Collaborate with business users to analyze requirements and map process manufacturing workflows (batch management, process orders, recipes, resources, etc.).
  • Integrate manufacturing processes with related areas like EWM, Procurement (MM), and Quality Management (QM).
  • Support production execution, process order management, and shop floor control in process environments.
  • Drive continuous improvement and optimization using S/4HANA Cloud capabilities and Fiori apps.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration between manufacturing and supply chain.
  • Provide support during testing (SIT/UAT), data migration, cutover, and post-go-live activities.
  • Document configurations, develop user guides, and deliver training to key users.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • 10+ years of SAP experience with at least 2 full-cycle S/4HANA Manufacturing implementations.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in SAP PP / PP-PI (Process Industries)modules.
  • Deep understanding of process manufacturing concepts - recipes, batch management, process orders, resources, and work centres.
  • Working experience with S/4HANA Cloud (Public) or on-premise manufacturing environments.
  • Good understanding of integration with EWM, logistics, and quality management processes.
  • Experience working with SAP Fiori apps for production and manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology and agile project delivery.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Exposure to SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) inbound/outbound and production supply processes.
  • Experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG), Pharma, or Chemical process industries.
  • SAP certification in S/4HANA Manufacturing or PP-PI.
  • Knowledge of MES integration and Digital Manufacturing Cloud (DMC) is a plus.
