Location: Grand Prairie, TX
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Circuit Design Engineer

  1. Security Clearance:
    • The position requires the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. However, this clearance is not needed to start.
    • Obtaining a security clearance involves a thorough background investigation to assess your suitability for accessing classified information. .
  2. Summary/Responsibilities:
    • As a Circuit Design Engineer, your responsibilities include:
      • Developing CCA (Circuit Card Assembly) requirements.
      • Designing CCAs.
      • Analyzing CCAs.
      • Providing layout support for CCAs.
      • Managing component procurement and kitting.
      • Supporting PCB/CCA procurement, checkout, and integration.
      • Complying with CCA Design Assurance process requirements.
      • Documenting CCA checkout procedures and development logs.
      • Assisting the Packaging engineer with CCA footprint and interface cable design.
      • Working with high-speed serial and sensitive analog signals, including cutting-edge components like FPGAs, RFSoCs, ADCs, PCIe, Ethernet, and SRIO.
  3. Additional Summary:
    • Beyond circuit design, you'll also be involved in:
      • Sustaining the design of a standalone functional test setup.
      • Planning and executing Environmental Design Verification Testing (DVT), EMI DVT, EIB, and Power Transfer.
      • Supporting integration with other test equipment or hardware, including Telemetry Interface.
      • Assisting with testing at remote locations or labs.
      • Integrating and ensuring functionality in the Hardware in the Loop (HWIL) lab for an upcoming flight test.
      • Troubleshooting hardware issues in a lab environment.
      • Overlapping responsibilities between Circuit Design and supporting existing HWIL test setups.
  4. Required Skillset:
    • You should have:
      • 2-4 years of experience in developing and analyzing digital and analog circuits.
      • 2-4 years of hands-on experience with circuit card and electronics hardware.
      • 6+ years of experience with hardware integration, especially related to electronics.
      • Familiarity with circuit analysis tools like SPICE.
      • The ability to document circuit checkout procedures and test verification.
