About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned remote WiFi Network Engineer to join our professional services team to work with our customer on enterprise WiFi and campus network environments. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in wireless infrastructure, modern campus network design, and data center technologies. The engineer will play a critical role in maintaining, optimizing, and scaling secure, high-performance network environments across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage enterprise WiFi solutions across campus environments.
- Perform site surveys, RF planning, and validation of wireless network performance.
- Troubleshoot WiFi connectivity and performance issues using industry-standard tools.
- Implement and manage campus LAN/WAN infrastructure with best practices for scalability and security.
- Leverage BGP and other routing protocols for dynamic, resilient network topologies.
- Integrate and support EVPN architectures in data center and campus environments.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to ensure seamless operations and compliance.
- Participate in capacity planning, performance tuning, and network monitoring efforts.
- Provide clear and thorough documentation including design diagrams, change management records, and operational runbooks.
- Be a consultant and help the customer with any education/training needs
- This is a Professional Services service delivery role.
- Some travel may be required
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in delivering professionnal services and implementation projects for end customers
- Ability to work with customers and their team. Prior customer experience is preferred.
- Proven experience in enterprise WiFi design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
- Expertise in campus networking technologies, including wired/wireless integrations.
- Solid understanding and hands-on experience with BGP routing.
- Familiarity with EVPN, VXLAN, and modern data center networking architectures.
- Ability to diagnose complex network issues in both physical and virtualized environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Experience working in a remote, cross-functional team environment.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 10+ years of professional experience in network engineering with a focus on WiFi and campus networking.
- Demonstrated experience in large-scale enterprise or service provider environments.
- Industry certifications are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Experience with Arista, Cisco, or Juniper WiFi and switching infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with network automation or scripting (Python, Ansible).
