Position: Mid-Level CISCO Network Engineer
Location: Cypress, TX (Onsite)
Duration: Long term
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mid-Level Cisco Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our company's network infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of Cisco networking technologies, protocols, and best practices.

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mid-Level Cisco Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our company's network infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of Cisco networking technologies, protocols, and best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers).
- Cisco catalyst, FTD/FMCcisco 9800 WLC, Cisco ISE
- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, and security configurations.
- Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
- Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve network issues.
- Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure compliance.
- Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company's security team.
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco hardware and software.
- Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS).
- Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic, and network analytics tools.
- University degree in Computer Science or a related subject.
- Cisco certification (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) is a plus.
- Experience with network security and firewalls (e.g., ASA, FortiGate, Palo Alto).
- Familiarity with network automation tools (e.g., Python, Ansible).
- Experience with cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
