RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Birmingham, AL that is seeking a Lead Quality Assurance Testing Analyst.
Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic QA Automation Engineer (QA Lead) to oversee and lead the contract QA effort, including supervising a QA Automation Engineer III. This role is ideal for someone with excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills who can drive quality engineering practices across manual and automated testing efforts while staying hands-on when needed.
The Lead Quality Assurance Testing Analyst will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of quality assurance activities throughout the SDLC, manage defect lifecycle processes, and ensure the successful delivery of quality code through both manual and automated testing. This is a leadership-focused QA role with expectations of technical oversight, coordination, and hands-on contribution when necessary.
Responsibilities:
* Act as the lead for the contract QA team, supervising QA resources and ensuring the successful execution of sprint testing and regression cycles
* Serve as the main point of contact for QA-related project coordination and planning, working closely with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders
* Provide hands-on support in automation or manual testing tasks as needed, especially during critical sprints or releases
* Create and maintain detailed QA documentation, test plans, and reporting dashboards to track test execution and defect metrics
* Lead sprint-level QA planning and estimation; Ensure alignment of QA tasks within Agile ceremonies
* Enforce QA best practices and mentor junior QA team members
* Ensure integration of automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines and leverage testing frameworks/tools such as Selenium, Postman, and qTest
* Drive process improvements related to quality, test coverage, and delivery velocity.
REQUIREMENTS:
* 8+ years of professional experience in Quality Assurance, with at least 3 years in a QA leadership role
* Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Defect Lifecycle
* Proven ability to plan, lead, and coordinate QA efforts across multiple teams and projects
* Exceptional analytical and reporting skills; Experience generating QA metrics and dashboards
* Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and participating in sprint planning and retrospectives
* Prior QA leadership experience and demonstrate strength in both test strategy and execution
* qTest, Postman, and domain experience in banking/Treasury Management are highly desirable
Strong working knowledge of:
* qTest or other test management tools
* Postman for API validation
* Selenium-based automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium with C# or Java)
* CI/CD practices and tools (e.g., GIT, Bamboo, Artifactory)
Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
* Experience in the banking domain, especially Treasury Management, is strongly preferred
* Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, RestSharp, TestNG, or RestAssured is a plus
* Experience with containerized environments such as Docker
* Strong leadership and coordination skills
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills
* Ability to mentor and guide less experienced QA team members
* High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
* A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a strong ownership mentality
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
