RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Greenwood Village, CO that is seeking a Wireless Engineer IV responsible for providing wireless technology leadership for the development of wireless technologies including WiFi and mobile, engineering design, and deployment support.

Responsibilities:
* Provides tech leadership & lead the development of complex end-to-end technology solutions involving devices/CPEs, access, transport, core & backend systems
* Assesses new products requirements & develop technology solutions & architecture design to support them
* Tests & certifies new Small Cells, Home/SMB Routers, Wireless AP (Access Points), Wireless Access Gateways (WAGs) and Controllers products for the field to deploy
* Works with Operations to resolve WiFi & mobile access network issues that could impact the business or the customer
* Provides guidelines & technical leadership for the develop of tools & processes to support new products & technology solutions development, testing and validation
* Validate the capabilities of technologies through lab evaluation & possibly field trials; Perform lab evaluation & field trials to validate new technology concepts
* Drives new innovative technologies & approaches (802.11ad/ay, UWB, BNC, Mesh Network, and others) for increasing the performance, reliability, and QoE (Quality of Experience) for customers
* Supports new wireless technologies and initiatives, including improving network security, virus detection, virtualization of network functions, & new applications & services
* Supports efforts to maximize the performance of Spectrum WiFi (public WiFi infrastructure)
* Develops tools & processes for engineering design, testing & certification of new techn solutions & products
* Reviews designs, code & unit test plans where applicable
* Participates & contribute to RFPs/RFIs, hardware and software evaluations & vendors contracts negotiations

REQUIREMENTS:
* BSEE in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent; MBA preferred
* 7+ years of experience with Wireless Technology Development & Management working with the top MSOs, Telco, satellite operators or major wireless vendor in the U.S.
* Deep knowledge in wireless access technologies including WiFi5, WiFi6 and WiFi7, 4G-LTE and familiar with 5G and a clear track record of excellence managing the wireless access engineering systems within an organization of a well-known media brand
* Proficient with the use of network diagnostics, troubleshooting and inventory tools, including but not limited to SQL databases, Splunk, Plume, Scope
* Familiarity with the CPE Wireless Gateway and Router designs and roadmap plans for all major Operators in the U.S., Operational experience with WiFi and 4G-LTE, Ability to manage and deliver against several initiatives simultaneously

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
