Salary: $30,000.00 USD Annually - $30,001.00 USD Annually
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Telecom - Support Specialist
Top Skills:
1. Experience with Linux OS(ubuntu preferred)
2. Extensive Windows OS knowledge
3. Ability to assemble, maintain, and perform minor repairs on computer equipment and peripherals
The main function of San Diego Lab IT is to handle overall IT-related (including network) work at San Diego Lab. Primary responsibilities include maintenance and management of IT and resolving employees' IT issues. Another main role is supporting all IT-related tasks for VIPs and visitors.
While supporting onsite staff in the San Diego office, employee will also be responsible for MNOs Lab department's IT maintenance as a whole (currently 5 locations). Assist in assets maintenance, keep track of statupdates, support in procurement, resolve vulnerability issues, etc. Additionally, must be able to create informative, detailed, and accurate reports using Microsoft Office when HQ/upper mgmt requests data.
* Job Responsibilities:
Assist department employees with PC hardware/software issues. (Repair, Replacements, Upgrades)
Assist HQ VIP/visitor with PC hardware/software issues. (Repair, Replacements, Upgrades)
Network Support Management.
Linux-based server management/troubleshooting
PC asset management/documentation
PC/System Vulnerability check / report / resolve
Summary & report creation/maintenance including but not limited to AMRS, IRP, HQ, MNO
Printer troubleshooting and support
* Skills:
Extensive Windows OS knowledge
Experience with Linux OS (ubuntu preferred)
Ability to assemble, maintain, and perform minor repairs on computer equipment and peripherals
Basic ability and knowledge for troubleshooting network issues.
Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time
Basic knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
* Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in engineering required (computer science and engineering)
2~3 years of experience required
