Job Title: SAS Developer
Location: Pittsburgh, PA (Fully Onsite)
VISA: Local Consultants
Rate: $65/hr on C2C
5 days onsite, no hybrid and no remote
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced SAS Developer with strong expertise in Base SAS, SAS Macros, and SQL programming to design and develop applications in the banking and financial domain.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in data integration, transformation, and quality checks, along with proficiency in Linux/Unix scripting and Agile development practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop SAS programs using Base SAS, SAS Macros, Proc SQL, SAS/STAT, and SAS/SQL.
- Build and maintain SAS Data Integration Studio jobs and manage job flows within Platform Load Sharing Facility.
- Troubleshoot job failures and ensure smooth execution of ETL processes.
- Import, transform, merge, and clean data, performing quality checks to maintain data integrity.
- Develop and maintain shell scripts for automation in Linux/Unix environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and follow Agile development frameworks.
- Document processes and ensure compliance with development standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in application design and development.
- Strong knowledge of Base SAS, SAS Macros, Proc SQL, SAS/STAT, SAS/SQL.
- Hands-on experience with mathematical, statistical, and quantitative SAS functions.
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix shell scripting.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Experience in building and maintaining SAS Data Integration Studio jobs and troubleshooting job failures.
- Familiarity with Agile development frameworks and tools such as JIRA.
- Banking and financial domain experience is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in ETL processes and data quality checks.
- Exposure to large-scale data migration and transformation projects.
