Job Title: SAP ABAP Developer

Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid)

Employment Type: W2 Only (NO C2C / 1099)

Duration: 12+ Months

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled SAP ABAP Developer to join our SAP team and contribute to the design, development, and support of custom solutions across SAP modules. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ABAP programming, SAP S/4HANA, and modern development practices including ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) and SAP Fiori.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and maintain custom programs using ABAP, ABAP OO, RAP, and OData services.
  • Create and enhance CDS views, Smart Forms, ALV reports, BAPIs, BADIs, and user exits.
  • Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Support SAP S/4HANA implementations and upgrades, ensuring clean core principles and extensibility.
  • Integrate SAP with external systems using IDOCs, RFCs, and REST APIs.
  • Develop and maintain SAP Fiori/UI5 applications and custom tiles.
  • Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and debugging activities.
  • Document technical specifications, test cases, and change logs.
  • Ensure compliance with development standards and security protocols.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 12+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, ABAP on HANA, and RAP model.
  • Experience with CDS views, OData, SAP Fiori/UI5, and SAP Gateway.
  • Proficiency in ABAP OO, modular programming, and performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with SAP BTP, SAP Business Application Studio, and Git-based version control.
  • Understanding of SAP modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, or PP.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model) and event-driven architectures.
  • Exposure to SAP Integration Suite, SAP CPI, or SAP PI/PO.
  • Knowledge of SAP Fiori Elements, Smart Controls, and Launchpad configuration.
  • Experience in regulated industries (e.g., pharma, finance, healthcare).
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines in SAP environments.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • SAP Certified Development Associate ABAP for SAP S/4HANA
  • SAP Certified Application Associate SAP Fiori Application Developer
  • SAP Certified Integration Associate SAP Cloud Platform Integration
