Job Details
Leidos is seeking a Web Developer to support the 313th Training Squadron (313th TRS) activities applying instructional design methodologies to instruct, develop, employ, and maintain traditional in-residence courses as well as web-based course technology, interactive courseware, and advanced distributed learning (ADL) capabilities. Position is located on site at Goodfellow AFB in San Angelo, TX. The support will include state-of-the-art instruction support services that will allow the 313 TRS to achieve its mission while integrating/evolving instructional design methodologies and information technologies to remain in synch with the fielded technology over the program's life cycle.
Responsibilities:
Requirements Definition and Tracking:
-Work with the 313 TRS TM and TDEC in reviewing Course Training Standards (CTSs) which document the cognitive and behavioral requirements associated with the desired training
System Design and Prototyping:
-Perform system design and prototyping activities as required to satisfy training requirements
-Coordinate with the 313 TRS TDEC to understand the training objectives, design course content and develop courseware necessary to achieve
training objectives which will be accomplished using an AGILE development approach (Including customer reviews of system
design/prototyping through demonstrations or walk-throughs of the courseware
Database Design:-Support database designs for tracking training events, throughput, certifications, or other information necessary within the limitations of the staff allocated to this requirement-
-Support database designs that impact the training environment, e.g., interactive database(s) for exercises
Software Development:
-Perform software development activities to include advanced distributed learning (ADL), interactive courseware (ICW), and custom software solution
-Use an AGILE development approach to software development by providing the 313 TRS TM and TDEC insight into the software design and
functionality
Testing:
-Perform software testing of courseware using test procedures that demonstrate the meeting of courseware requirements/expectations, including meeting training objective(s), courseware reliability and sustainability in the 313 TRS training environment
System Documentation:
-Prepare system documentation (installation and maintenance procedures), user manuals and tutorials necessary to assist administrators, maintainers, and users in the operations of the courseware
-Periodically update system documentation as needed to ensure it is in synch with the courseware and courseware related products
Training:
-Conduct training through the following venues train-the-trainers, online instructional help files, and/or user manuals
Packaging and Deployment:
-Support the packaging and deployment of training modules to ensure installation, data administration, and operations and maintenance information is available upon course delivery
Technical Support:
-Provide technical support for current versions of developed training module. --Assist the 313 TRS in working with vendors to assist in the resolution of vendor software issues items as necessary
-Provide real-time technical support in troubleshooting student issues during online course delivery
-Maintain and deploy any required course websites or media on both unclassified (NIPRNet) and classified (SIPRNet and JWICS) networks
-Work with the PM to maintain a tracking mechanism for development efforts to sync training requirements and deliver/maintain all updates and
newly created software

Required Qualifications:
- TS/SCI security clearance on day 1
- Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience or Associate's degree and 6+ years of relevant experience. *Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
- Experience in web-based courseware, developing Shareable Content Object Reference Model("SCORM") compliant course material, and developing Interactive Multimedia Instruction ("IMI") material
- Produce IMI material and SCORM compliant course materials
- Integrate course materials with the 17 TRG's LMS and all applicable training networks
- Experience in Instructional System Design (using the ADDIE model)
- Experience in AETC course development and delivery
- Knowledge AF and DOD standards for custom software or tools
- Experience with IMI Development software and technologies, (i.e., Adobe Creative Suite, HTML 5, CSS, JavaScript, etc.)
- Proficient with Windows desktop operating system
- Experience and knowledge of database design and implementation
- Knowledge of the Agile software development methodology
- Strong organizational skills: must be able to keep multiple projects separate and several components within the same project straight
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
