GIS Software Engineer II.

Pay Range: $55 - $65/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Our client is looking for a motivated and energetic engineer who is passionate about building amazing GIS software solutions.
• Will work with complex data sets, and spatial data and develop & support mapping applications.
• This individual should have a strong GIS background with ESRI products, ESRI SDK (creating complex data sets in spatial data), and API development.
• Any experience with a Feature Manipulation Engine (FME) and ArcPy is a huge plus.
• Design and build complex software solutions using agile/XP/TDD.
• Program well-designed, efficient code with minimal supervision.
• Should be able to communicate progress and identify blocking issues.
• Collaborate with designers, developers, and product owners to build cloud-native software solutions targeting PCF, Azure, AWS, Esri, mobile iOS/Android, etc.
• Participate in paired programming and code reviews with seniors to expand knowledge and understanding of software engineering.
• Complete independent research to refine best practices and present work to peers.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Strong GIS background
• Experience with ESRI Products (e.g. ArcGIS)
• ESRI SDK (Creating complex data sets in spatial data)
• API development (ESRI Rest API and/or Cloud Native API)
• Experience with Complex datasets, spatial data, mapping
• Feature Manipulation Engine (FME) is a plus
• Experience with Python and ArcPy is a plus
• Solid understanding of cloud-native software engineering best practices.
• Experience working with one or more CI/CD stacks.
