Overview

The IT Business Analyst serves as a bridge between business stakeholders, technical teams, and project leadership. This role elicits requirements, analyzes workflows, and ensures clear, validated documentation to support technology initiatives and solution delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements gathering sessions with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Document business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional specifications.
  • Analyze current-state vs. future-state processes to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Support backlog grooming, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies.
  • Collaborate with QA to ensure test coverage and validate acceptance criteria.
  • Facilitate communication between business teams, developers, architects, and vendors.
  • Assist with change management, user training, and post-deployment validation.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and process-mapping abilities.
  • Experience writing clear, testable requirements and user stories.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Scrum, and product lifecycle management.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
