Job Description

Embark in a transformational journey with NBCUniversal as the company integrates SAP MDG and BODS. Your mission as the SAP Data Architect? Facilitating a seamless transition during our SAP S/4 transformation by ensuring efficient migration of both Master Data and transactional data. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of technologies such as, native HANA modeling, HANA Smart Data Integration, SAP SLT for replication, ABAP CDS View development for analytics, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Datasphere and SAP BW4/HANA.   • Responsible for requirements collection, design, and build of SAP MDG, SAP Data Services and Information steward that is critical part of SAP S/4HANA transition.
  • Drive collaboration and communicate SAP-technologies in a simplified manner to business users to convey the "art of the possible." From there, this resource should be able to design and build the proposed MDG and Data services solution.
  • Reviewing/Updating support & operations documentation where required
  • Participating in production support role during key activity periods when required month-end, quarter-end, year-end etc.
  • Ensuring consistency of master data between MDG and related systems
  • Reviewing & improving existing master data interfaces to eliminate master data issues in SAP ECC, SAP S/4, BW, BPC and any downstream systems.
  • Liaising with other Product teams to ensure timely resolution of all issues and to promote good working relationships.
  • Work with SAP Security team members on setup and configuration of user access
  • Create Data Analytics Reports using reporting tools.
  • Collaborate with functional teams to translate user stories and problem statements into project/solution requirements.
  • Collaborate with extended Data and Analytics teams to design data pipelines to and from MDG.
  • Develop solutions quickly through an Agile process utilizing incremental minimal viable products to obtain user feedback and iterate towards a final solution.
  • Partner with functional teams to facilitate the deployment and adoption of delivered solutions.
  • Inform / coach key users, where necessary, regarding MDG usage and requests for displaying information in the system.
  • Facilitate with lead and business clients and Product teams on strategy and team sessions to assess in betterment of MDG and BODS


Qualifications

  • 10+ years' relevant SAP Data architecture or Media industry experience
  • Experience with SAP Data Architecture, SAP MDG/MDM, and S4 HANA
  • Participation in all phases of at least 3 SAP MDG master data domain implementations with 2 in a lead role
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering or related discipline with an information technology focus, or an equivalent combination of education and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science or Business Administration
  • Media industry experience
  • Experience with SAP BODS, Information Steward, and Data Services
  • Data quality reporting and cleansing implementation experience.
  • Knowledge of SAP Landscape Transformation (SLT), Smart Data Integration (SDI) or Smart Data Access (SDA)
  • Experience delivering projects using SAP ASAP & Agile methodologies.
  • Demonstrate BW and BPC experience, including experience in various Data and Analytics solutions based on AWS, Google Cloud Platform and Azure.
  • Job requires working multiple projects in parallel and maintaining a set delivery schedule on all projects.
  • Knowledge of investigating data flows to and from SAP with SAP BW, SAP BPC systems, SAP S/4 and other non-SAP sources
  • Strong understanding of financial data and experience in delivering finance and HCM analytics
