Job Title: Ansible Tower Automation Support

Location: Charlotte, NC or Plano, TX (Hybrid onsite 3 days a week)

Duration : 6+Months Contract

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Support Engineer with strong experience onboarding applications into Ansible Tower and supporting enterprise automation platforms. This role is heavily focused on production support, troubleshooting, change management, and operational excellence rather than coding. The ideal candidate has handson experience with Ansible Tower, cutover automation tools, and enterprise monitoring/logging platforms, along with solid scripting abilities in Python or PowerShell.

Key Responsibilities

• Onboard applications into Ansible Tower as a service and support Ansiblebased deployment workflows. Experience with Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) as well.
• Provide daytoday production support, troubleshooting automation failures, deployment issues, and environmentrelated problems.
• Manage and execute change management processes, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
• Work with ATAS as part of the CI/CD pipeline and support integration with Ansible automation.
• Utilize TrueSight Orchestrator, Dynatrace, and Splunk to monitor systems, analyze logs, and resolve incidents.
• Support and maintain cutover automation tools (highly preferred and considered a top hiring priority).
• Develop and maintain light automation scripts using Python or PowerShell.
• Collaborate with application teams to ensure smooth onboarding, deployment readiness, and operational stability.
• Participate in troubleshooting sessions to resolve issues across automation, infrastructure, and deployment pipelines.
• Ensure all automation processes follow best practices for reliability, security, and audit compliance.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong handson experience with Ansible Tower as a service or ATAS (onboarding apps, deployments, job templates, inventories).
• Solid background in production support, troubleshooting, and operational workflows.
• Experience with change management processes in enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with TrueSight Orchestrator, Dynatrace, and Splunk for monitoring and log analysis.
• Scripting experience in Python or PowerShell.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, especially where Ansible and ATAS are integrated.
• Ability to work closely with crossfunctional teams and communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with a detailoriented mindset.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative support team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Cutover automation tool (major plus; immediate hire potential).
