Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) Electrical and Electronics Materials and Processes Technology (M&PT) Component Engineering (CE) Team supports St. Louis Area production programs (F-22, T-7A, MQ-25, F/A-18, F-15, F-47, Weapons, etc.) and is currently seeking an Experienced or Senior Electrical Process/Standards & Component Engineer with a desire to lead tasking efforts and continue to develop into a Process and Standards expert while working among industry experts, working on legacy programs as well as the future aircrafts, weapons, and technologies. This position is located in Berkeley, Missouri.

The St. Louis Area Component Engineering Team is seeking to hire an Experienced or Senior Electrical Process/Standards & Electrical Component Engineer with experience leading efforts in Electrical Standards, Materials and Processes.
Position Responsibilities: Electrical Component Engineering Standards and Processes:
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An Interim & Final Post Start U.S. Secret Clearance is required.

Position Responsibilities: Electrical Component Engineering Standards and Processes:
- Regularly applies engineering knowledge of electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical components in evaluation of components for assembly and subassembly repair/design
- Provides direction to Sub-contractors and Suppliers to ensure their electronic components are qualified for Boeing usage per the contract and the Parts Management Plan
- Understanding the basics of Aircraft and Weapons design/requirements to help recommend the correct Alternate electrical components for new product development and legacy programs
- Uses Project Management tools with minor supervision to meet cost, schedule, and technical performance requirements
- Incorporates Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), LEAN and Quality principles into (1) materials and processes, (2) research and qualification, (3) work procedures and (4) lab testing and qualification
- Leads efforts to support, establish work statements, to define strategies, and/or aids in providing direction to peers while keeping management informed
- Multiple years' experience with military and/or aerospace industry electrical specifications that are relevant to our day to day tasking
- Experience with a harsh environment/high reliability design environment, previous aerospace, medical device, automotive, or industrial design/application experience
- Multiple years' experience working directly with connectors, wires, and cables, including the fabrication of cables/bundles, installation of cables/harnesses, etc
- Electrical design and/or Test experience with electrical components, wiring harnesses, connectors and cables
- Ideally have specific experience in any military aerospace discipline, either as a defense contractor or as former military, especially in the area of Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS)
- Noted experience with military electronics. Not necessarily aerospace, as long as its directly related to one of our electrical disciplines (i.e. components, wire/cables, processes, etc.)
- Experience/insight with wiring design, cables, connectors, etc. Someone who worked in a position where this was a key element of their primary responsibilities for 3 -5 years

- 3+ years of experience in electrical and/or electronics engineering
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering degree from an accredited course of study in electrical engineering
- Prefer 6 to 8 Years experience/insight with military and/or aerospace industry electrical specifications, wiring design, cables, and connectors
