Network / Systems Administrator Team Lead needed for a Direct Hire position onsite in Mount Laurel, NJ!
**Work Hours: Onsite Thurs Mon 3PM 12AM EST**
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and versatile, Swiss Army Knife Network / Systems Administrator Team lead to support enterprise-class data centers and ensure seamless network operations. This role focuses on ensuring high availability and performance of network infrastructure as well as supporting a team and providing guidance and leadership.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive and adaptable professional with a passion for innovation, an ability to multitask and reprioritize in real-time and a commitment to delivering excellence in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment. This candidate will be proficient in networking and network security but should also have experience working on servers and cloud as this team will be supporting a wide array of technologies to support the company infrastructure. This candidate should have experience leading a team in a technical role to provide guidance, direction and help develop the next wave of talent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Network Operations: Monitor, triage, and resolve network incidents involving circuits, fiber optics, and broadcast environments.
  • Broadcast Network Troubleshooting: Support and troubleshoot multicast networking, video streaming, and fiber optic lighting in broadcast systems.
  • Infrastructure Management: Configure, manage, and maintain network devices including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • System Monitoring: Leverage platforms such as SolarWinds and DataDog to ensure network reliability and performance.
  • Incident Management: Lead network-related incident resolution, ensuring SLAs are met and escalating issues when necessary.
  • Security Best Practices: Implement and support secure networking solutions, ensuring robust protection in on-premise and cloud environments.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed network documentation, including topology maps and procedures for troubleshooting.

Required Skills

  • Technical leadership
  • Strong experience in NOC operations and network troubleshooting in data center environments.
  • Experience configuring and managing monitoring platforms like SolarWinds.
  • Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting broadcast network systems, including video streaming technologies and fiber optics.
  • Hands-on experience with firewalls, routing protocols, and network monitoring tools like SolarWinds.
  • Familiarity with automation tools and scripting for network management.
  • Understanding of multicast networking and video encoding technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to dynamic priorities.

Preferred Skills

  • Support and troubleshoot virtualization, containerization, Rubrik backups.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based networking solutions in AWS, Azure, or O365 environments.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure capacity planning and performance tuning.
  • Scripting Experience (Python, PowerShell) to automate network operations.
  • Experience with advanced video streaming technologies and CDNs.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration for managing distributed applications.

Qualifications

  • Schedule Candidate must be willing to work second shift and span weekends and provide support on major holidays when needed.
  • Experience - 3 or more years of technical team leadership
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Certifications: CCNA, CCNP (or equivalent) ITIL and technical certifications in, servers and/ or cloud (preferred).
  • Experience: Demonstrated expertise in a complex, multi-site environment.
