Job Overview

Intuit QuickBooks is on a mission to transform financial services for small businesses through its money movement platform. To achieve this, the Analytics, Governance, and Sanctions Operations (AGSO) organization is looking for a strong risk and control governance Staff-level analyst to transform and strengthen our first line of defense.

As a Staff Fraud and Risk Analyst, you will partner with a wide range of partner teams to understand and document our risks and controls to ensure a strong first line of defense control environment. You will deep dive into data and business processes and interact with leaders to showcase end to end controls at various stages of the customer lifecycle. More importantly, we need you to drive the transformation of governance work to unlock the power of data and technologies to better serve our business and customers.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of relevant business experience including: Risk, Finance, Compliance, Audit, or other related subject areas
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree, Masters preferred
  • Experience with Fintech (Small Business Payment, Payroll, or Lending) with focus on risk and control management background is preferred
  • Demonstrates strong project and time management skills with ability to lead, multi-task, and prioritize multiple initiatives independently with cross-functional teams while delivering effective results
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present complex analysis clearly and concisely with persuasive verbal and written presentation to senior/executive leadership
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and end-to-end critical thinking
  • Advanced technical skills with SQL and proficiency and visualization tools, such as Tableau, Quicksight, and others
  • Strong analytical mindset, business acumen, and a drive/curiosity for continuous learning
  • Knowledge of statistical methods, techniques, and formulas to test and determine the reliability and soundness of results
  • Experience with R, Python, and Machine Learning is a plus


Responsibilities

  • Understand business processes, risks, and controls quickly and in-depth with ability to build strong relationships with partner teams and stakeholders
  • Partner closely on all aspects of the business including Product, Policy, Operations, Accounting, and Compliance with a focus on assessing risks and controls for new offerings
  • Understand business processes to create policies, standards, and control definitions and to drive risk and control assessments, process flows, and process narratives with comprehensive documentation
  • Develop processes to document controls, communicate changes, and log and report issues/findings in coordination with technology and business partners
  • Effectively manage change that results from the introduction of new policies, products, and processes
  • Participate in walkthroughs and provide recommendations for setting up of business processes and IT controls
  • Innovate and identify better ways to document, monitor, and manage end-to-end controls
  • Develop, support, and measure the implementation of strategic business initiatives
  • Develop procedures for daily control monitoring capabilities to ensure business processes are working in compliance with risk policies
  • Identify control deficiencies, bugs, findings and provide recommendations concisely to non-technical audiences, both in verbal and written presentations
  • Deep dive into problems and debug issues and drive the necessary conversations to support remediation
  • Handle, manipulate, and analyze data to support impact assessment and root cause analysis
  • Provide ongoing communication to leadership to keep them apprised of progress and findings, escalating when appropriate
  • Proactively find opportunities to automate and streamline current and future processes, improving efficiency and productivity of the broader team
  • Follow industry trends to ensure that solutions are best in class and meet industry standards
