Position:Functional Automated Tester (Automotive Applications)

Location:ONSITE - Plano, TX 75024
Pay Rate:$55.00 per hour (W2 Only)

This role is 100% ONSITE (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY)

Responsible for working on user interfaces of dealership websites, web applications, car applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Prepare the pre-requisites for the upcoming testing.
Analyze Functional and technical Specs, Sequence flows, Epics, User stories, Use Cases, Wireframes and test Criteria and create detailed Test Cases
Prepare test plans for test events / Milestones
Execute scripted and ad-hoc/freeform tests
Ensure the integrity of test cases in JIRA and transactional updates in backend databases
Timely updates to JIRA tickets for issue resolution visibility and progress
Support Triage, defect prioritization, retesting and defect closure
Support Product Owners with joint test events (customer and suppliers)
Attend program test events (functional testing)
Build metrics and graphs for test case execution and defect management
Review Test plan, schedules, release plans, test cases
Support PROD deployment and drive tests

Functional Tester MUST have the following experience:
- Strong functional testing expertise, especially with Mobile App, Web, API, E2E integration testing within the Automotive domain in AWS Cloud Infrastructure
- Proficiency in different testing methods including execution of test suites, specifically for API testing using PostMan, and supporting automation and performance teams.
- Team Player with excellent collaboration and communication skills for working effectively with Agile/Scrum teams, developers, managers, and stakeholders.
- Motivated individual and Team Player, accepting changes and challenges, while responsible for delivery commitments and quality outcome.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Functional Tester with strong manual testing experience.
Some automation testing experience as they ll be performing 80% of manual/functional testing and 20% of automation testing.
A background of Automotive industries would be plus
Automotive domain Knowledge and experience in testing automotive applications supporting connected services.
Experience in testing mobile apps on Mobile devices, S/W on test benches and Simulators.
Strong experience in devising End-to-End integration tests and validation of multiple systems under AWS Infrastructure.
Proficient in testing MicroServices that use REST and gRPC and other high-performance protocol
Experience Testing Test benches with Telematics Control Units, Radios and related Server integrations
Familiar with preparing and articulating different test methods & approaches to validate service layer applications.
Proficient in Log Analysis for both server and mobile applications
Plan approaches and execute efficient iterative regression testing, using mocks and simulators
Knowledge and experience in supporting and enabling the Automation and Performance teams
Team player with exceptional collaboration skills and Experience working with Agile/Scrum teams, Dev teams, Managers and stake holders
Good at issue identification, follow-up, test metrics and reporting
Education: Bachelor s degree

DESIRED SKILLS:
Experience in scripting and executing API automation using cucumber and rest assured framework. Proficient with Mongo DB.
Knowledge and use of AWS cloud debugging and monitoring tools
