Location & Work Arrangement
- City, State: Concord, New Hampshire
- Work Arrangement: Hybrid Requires 3 days per week onsite attendance.
- Contract: This is a project-specific contract position, estimated for a 6-month duration.
- Local Requirement: LOCAL CANDIDATES REQUIRED who are willing to work 3 days/week onsite.
- Mode of Interview: In Person Only at the client location.
- Work Week: 37.5 hours per week.
Essential Expertise and Scope of Work
The Business Analyst will work closely with environmental scientists, engineers, IT developers, and project team members to translate existing data chaos into a clear, documented, and standardized database plan.
1. Database Modernization & Documentation (Required)
- Core Experience (Highly Desired): Experience working on Access/Excel database modernization projects (2 years highly desired).
- Requirements Definition: Defining, developing, and writing detailed business requirements for database management systems (3 years required), including user experience and functional requirements.
- Current State Analysis: Evaluate existing database structure (Access and Excel databases) and organize/document the data and structure of each existing database.
- Data Quality: Experience with data clean up, standardization, and quality remediation (2 years required).
2. Analytical and Project Deliverables (5+ Years Required)
- Business Analysis: 5 years of experience in business analysis, including requirements gathering, process modeling, and functional analysis for custom software solutions.
- Documentation Creation: Creates essential database documentation, including but not limited to business plans, Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) , process models, and descriptive project plan documents.
- Solution Evaluation: Researches and evaluates database solutions and implementation approaches, including potential interim solutions.
- Project Coordination: Coordinates project activities and maintains project documentation to ensure deliverables are completed on schedule (Familiarity with Project Charter, Risk Register, etc., is a plus).
3. Systems and Domain Knowledge
- MS Technologies: Experience and familiarity with Microsoft technologies including Access, Visio, MSSQL, Teams, Word, and Excel (2 years required).
- Environmental Domain (Nice to Have): Experience working with environmental information systems, especially those related to wastewater, including regulatory compliance and data management.
