Sr. Network Engineer Ubiquiti Wireless Deployment
Location: Gilroy, CA (Hybrid 3-4 days a week onsite & 1-2 days remote)
Duration: 2-3 + Months Contract

Project Objective:
- To lead the transition from the current Extreme Networks wireless infrastructure to a fully deployed and optimized Ubiquiti wireless solution across all the Client's sites, with a focus on design, deployment, configuration, and team enablement.
Key Responsibilities
- Network Design & Planning
- Assess current wireless infrastructure and develop a comprehensive migration plan to Ubiquiti.
- Design wireless coverage maps and hardware placement for optimal performance across all 7 sites.
- Deployment & Configuration
Hands-on installation and configuration of Ubiquiti devices, including:
- Access Points
- Cloud Key
- Switches and gateways (if applicable)
- Pre-configure devices for deployment and ensure seamless rollout.
- Know how to run a project (wear the hat of a PM)
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the wireless migration project.
- Coordinate timelines, resources, and deliverables.
- Minimize disruption to business operations during the transition.
- Training & Handover
- Provide training to internal IT staff on the Ubiquiti admin portal and best practices.
- Deliver documentation and post-deployment support guidance.
Required Experience & Skills
- Proven experience with Ubiquiti wireless solutions (design, deployment, and administration).
- Strong background in network engineering and wireless infrastructure.
- Experience migrating from legacy systems (e.g., Extreme Networks).
- Project management experience in multi-site environments.
- Ability to work independently and manage vendor relationships.
- Excellent communication and training skills.
