Sr. Network Engineer (Ubiquiti Wireless Deployment)

Project Objective:

• To lead the transition from the current Extreme Networks wireless infrastructure to a fully deployed and optimized Ubiquiti wireless solution across all the Client's sites, with a focus on design, deployment, configuration, and team enablement.

Key Responsibilities

• Network Design & Planning

• Assess current wireless infrastructure and develop a comprehensive migration plan to Ubiquiti.
• Design wireless coverage maps and hardware placement for optimal performance across all 7 sites.
• Deployment & Configuration

Hands-on installation and configuration of Ubiquiti devices, including:

• Access Points

• Cloud Key

• Switches and gateways (if applicable)

• Pre-configure devices for deployment and ensure seamless rollout.

• Know how to run a project (wear the hat of a PM)

• Serve as the primary point of contact for the wireless migration project.

• Coordinate timelines, resources, and deliverables.

• Minimize disruption to business operations during the transition.

• Training & Handover

• Provide training to internal IT staff on the Ubiquiti admin portal and best practices.

• Deliver documentation and post-deployment support guidance.

Required Experience & Skills

• Proven experience with Ubiquiti wireless solutions (design, deployment, and administration).

• Strong background in network engineering and wireless infrastructure.

• Experience migrating from legacy systems (e.g., Extreme Networks).

• Project management experience in multi-site environments.

• Ability to work independently and manage vendor relationships.

• Excellent communication and training skills.
