Job Details

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Data Management Consultant with our client in the financial Industry located in Minneapolis, MN. This is a 6+ month contract position.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to develop or influence initiatives and strategies for highly complex business and technical needs across Data Management
  • Provide strategic consulting on the resolution of highly complex and unique challenges through advanced data evaluation, delivering long-term and innovative solutions
  • Collaborate with data product owners, technology teams, and business stakeholders to implement data governance best practices
  • Lead efforts related to data lineage, metadata documentation, and remediation of data issues or deficiencies
  • Coordinate work efforts and assess current processes for improvement opportunities
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and JIRA user stories in an Agile environment
  • Perform complex data profiling and analytics to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights
  • Reverse engineer pseudo-SQL scripts and translate them into business/technical documentation
  • Engage and provide subject matter expertise to senior leadership and cross-functional teams

Required Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project Management, or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, consulting, training, military service, or education
Proven ability in gathering requirements and conducting complex data analysis
Self-starter with strong understanding of the full requirements analysis lifecycle
Strong experience in business and data analysis within financial services
Foundational expertise in relational databases (RDBMS), with strong SQL skills (joins, unions, sub-queries)
Experience with Agile methodologies and writing business requirements as JIRA stories
Demonstrated success in data quality and validation, data aggregation, data governance, and data integration initiatives
Strong critical thinking skills with ability to work across multiple domains

Pay Range: $ 60 - 70
Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
