Job Title: IT Systems Test Engineer Senior (Contractor)
Location: Remote (Must be able to work Eastern Time business hours)
Duration: 12 Months
Schedule: Full-time 40 hours per week

Pay: $64/HR to $67/HR

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Test Engineer Senior to join our team on a 12-month remote contract. This role will focus on supporting system test engineering work and maintaining test automation within CRM for the Planview Connected Solution. The contractor will be responsible for building new test automation for Planview Portfolios, ensuring the reliability and quality of our software through comprehensive automation and integration testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and enhance scalable automation frameworks using C#, Reqnroll/SpecFlow, and MSTest.
  • Develop and maintain automated test suites to validate end-to-end system functionality.
  • Simulate database interactions for repository and data access layer testing.
  • Monitor performance and stability of automated test executions; identify and resolve failures.
  • Retest failing test cases to validate fixes and ensure consistent functionality across environments.
  • Ensure automated jobs and scheduled tasks execute reliably; troubleshoot and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate closely with QA and development teams to improve test coverage, identify defects, and meet sprint deliverables.
  • Monitor test environments for system health and performance, escalating critical issues promptly.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in system (end-to-end) and automation testing, including API, system integration, and connector testing.
  • Strong proficiency in C# programming.
  • Hands-on experience with UI Test Automation tools such as Playwright or Ranorex.
  • Experience with API Automation using Reqnroll or SpecFlow.
  • Ability to write and maintain automation scripts in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with pipeline deployment and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
  • Strong understanding of automation framework design and enhancement.
  • Ability to write clean, isolated unit tests for complex systems.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor s Degree (or higher) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or a related field, with a minimum of four years of relevant experience in software design, programming, testing, and support.
  • In lieu of a degree, six or more years of directly related work experience in software development and testing will be considered.
