Position Overview
This role serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for systems that support SNAP, TANF, Child Support, Child Welfare, and related programs. The SME will provide expert-level knowledge and guidance to ensure system compliance, efficiency, and support for state human services operations.
Job Functions
Serve as the subject matter expert on SNAP, TANF, Child Support, and Child Welfare systems.
Provide expertise in system processes, data requirements, and functional workflows.
Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to ensure system requirements align with state and federal program guidelines.
Assist in system analysis, troubleshooting, and recommendations for improvements.
Advise leadership on best practices and compliance requirements.
Provide knowledge transfer, mentoring, and consultation to state staff and project teams.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum of 20 years of experience in SNAP, TANF, Child Support, Child Welfare, or related programs.
Extensive expertise in state human services systems, preferably within the Mississippi state government.
Strong ability to communicate complex technical and programmatic details to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proven record of advising and supporting large-scale human services system projects.
Preferred (Not Required) Skills
Prior supervisory or leadership experience.
Experience with WebLogic or similar enterprise platforms.
Familiarity with state or federal compliance and auditing requirements.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills.
