Overview:
We’re looking for a technically-savvy Product Designer with a strong foundation in front-end development, component architecture, and scalable systems thinking to help evolve Disney Experiences’ design systems. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create robust and reusable UI components, implement tokens and variables, and drive design system adoption across products and platforms.

What You'll Do:

  • Build and maintain advanced, reusable design system components in Figma using variants, properties, tokens, and variables.

  • Partner closely with engineers to ensure seamless design-to-dev handoff and implementation.

  • Contribute to the governance and versioning of the design system.

  • Solve complex interaction and logic-based design problems that scale across platforms.

  • Collaborate with accessibility experts to ensure every component meets WCAG standards.

  • Support system documentation with clear specifications for both design and engineering audiences.

  • Prototype interactive components to demonstrate system behavior.

  • Stay ahead of evolving tech (e.g., design tokens, dark mode theming, native OS behaviors).

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in product or systems design with a technical/design engineering mindset.

  • Deep knowledge of Figma’s advanced features including component properties, interactive states, tokens, and design variables.

  • Experience contributing to or maintaining design systems in enterprise or product environments.

  • Strong understanding of HTML/CSS and front-end collaboration workflows.

  • Familiarity with systems governance: managing component updates, changelogs, and scalable design delivery.

  • Proven track record of collaborating with engineers and writing spec-level documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience building systems across platforms (web, iOS, Android).

  • Understanding of motion/animation principles for component interaction.

  • Experience with design token tools and frameworks (e.g., Style Dictionary).

  • Prior work with accessibility-first components and inclusive design systems.
