Job Details

Title: Senior Security Engineer

Location: Tempe, AZ (Hybrid 3 days per week onsite)
Type: Contract

Our client is looking for a Senior Security Engineer to join their team in Tempe, AZ.

Responsibilities:


  • Security Operations: Monitor and analyze security alerts and incidents, responding promptly to mitigate potential threats and breaches.
  • Identity and Access Management (IAM): Implement and manage IAM solutions to ensure appropriate access controls and user authentication mechanisms.
  • Asset Security: Develop and implement strategies to safeguard organizational assets, including data, hardware, and software.
  • Security Assessment and Testing: Conduct regular security assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate vulnerabilities in systems and applications.
  • Security and Risk Management: Lead initiatives to assess, prioritize, and mitigate security risks across various systems and platforms.
  • Security Architecture and Engineering: Design and deploy robust security architectures to protect against emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Software Development Security: Collaborate with software development teams to integrate security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Communication and Network Security: provide guidance for communication protocols and network infrastructure to maintain secure data transmission and prevent unauthorized access.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on supporting tools such as Office 365, Azure, Sentinel One EDR & XDR, Tenable Nessus, Microsoft Defender, and Proofpoint.
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, CMMC, ISO 27001/27002).
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and tool integration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Technology Project Management experience preferred.
  • Other information security related tasks as required.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent are preferred.
