CNC Programmer

Advantage Technical is excited to partner with a premier manufacturer of advanced solutions for the defense, aerospace, and space industries. We are seeking a CNC Programmer to join their team in Woburn, MA. This position involves creating and updating CNC programs, designing custom work holding fixtures in SolidWorks, generating setup documentation, and reviewing NC code for machining accuracy.



Salary: $120,000/yr. (Based on experience)



Key Responsibilities:

• Develops and proves out programs for the CNC equipment, generates tool lists / set-up sheets & obtains the required tooling.


• Makes updates and edits to existing programs as required


• Designs work holding fixtures using SolidWorks for CNC machining (custom jaws, vacuum fixtures, etc.)


• Reads and compares NC file code used in CNC machining centers.

Qualifications:

• Must have 5 years of relevant experience in the following:


• CNC programming for machining centers using CamWorks and/or MasterCam 3D, including programming from CAD models, PDF drawings, and parts lists


• Knowledge of hole preparation for helicoils, keenserts, pem inserts, dowel pins, etc., per manufacturer and mil specs


• Proficient in interpreting dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T and linear/ordinate)


• Basic computer skills, including file management and use of Windows, Microsoft Office, and Adobe products


• Experience designing work holding fixtures for CNC machining using SolidWorks


• Ability to read and compare NC file code used in CNC machining centers
