RF Engineer | Indianapolis, IN (Hybrid) | 12+ Months Contract
Description:
Hybrid: 2 days in office and 3 days at home, subject to change at any time
Targeted Years of Experience: 5-7 years
Responsibilities:
As an RF Engineer III, you'll be redesigning mature network areas to minimize capacity constraints and improve SINR while working with other areas of network to ensure performance fixes and initiatives are in place. You'll play a key role in making sure our customers continue to enjoy the outstanding call and data performance that we're known for. Creating search areas within their geographic area of responsibility. Working with the performance team to understand area and issues within his/her sector. Working with System Performance counterparts to understand issues and help reduce Lost Calls and Ineffective Attempts within their sector. Other responsibilities include: creating and supplying cell site translations; field visits to evaluate search area candidate as necessary; preparing FCC/FAA and FAS submissions in a timely manner; performing radio engineering evaluation for system planning and site acquisition; beginning to identify location specific needs for new cells taking baseline, performance, capacity, and population into consideration; and evaluating coverage problems and requirements for coverage cells.

MUST HAVE SKILLS (Most Important):
- A degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science.
- Four or more years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in RF design.
- Knowledge of RF theory and practice, as well as LTE/VoLTE and 5G technology.
- Expert and recent knowledge of propagation modeling in Atoll.
- Experience with FUZE or similar database program
- Experience in RF design of LTE/VoLTE and 5G networks.
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Understanding of LTE network KPIs and key parameters.
- Knowledge of various RF tools such as Mapinfo or post processing software.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, and Tableau including VB macro creation and worksheet manipulation.
Education/Certifications:
- A degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science.
