Technical Writer 3 Location: Texas Remote

I. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
Client requires the services of Technical Writer 3.
Performs advanced (senior-level) technical writing work coordinating the composition, organization, and editing of compiled information. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Develops and maintains user and technical documentation and project process documentation for various ITD project teams.
Composes, reviews, and edits technical documents, materials, and reports.
Collaborate with subject matter experts, research topics, and tailor content for specific audiences, ensuring accuracy and useability.
Translate complex technical information into clear, accessible content for diverse audiences.
Ensure documentation adheres to company style guides and industry standards.
Update and maintain existing documentation to reflect process changes.
Review edited materials and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format, and content.
May be responsible for coordinating the display of graphics and the production of the document.
Writes a variety of technical articles, reports, brochures, and/or manuals for documentation for a wide range of uses.
Understands the user s view of applications and/or technology and is able to put procedures in a logical sequence.
Consults with staff in the development of materials.
Research, develops, and disseminates information on techniques for organizing and presenting information.
Provides expertise on technical concepts of applications and /or user groups and structuring procedures in a logical sequence, due to a broad understanding of the applications.
Plan and schedule documentation review and hand off point of contact.
Maintains records and files of work and revisions.
Performs related work as assigned.

Experience in technical writing, journalism, or communications work.

5 - 7 years of experience with standard concepts, practices, and procedures related to technical writing, journalism, or communication work.
OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in business administration, education, computer science, business writing or a related field is generally preferred. Experience and education may be substituted for one another.
