Civil Engineer/Project Manager - Urban Development
Introduction:
We are currently interviewing for a Civil Engineer/Project Manager - Urban Development for our Dallas office. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership, guiding business development, and managing engineering projects in the Urban Development Practice Area.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare preliminary engineering reports
- Research jurisdictional requirements for design and construction
- Prepare project work plans and schedules
- Coordinate client management and marketing efforts
- Conduct site visits and document findings
- Lead a team of engineers and drafters
- Prepare and follow comprehensive project instructions
- Review project reports and performance metrics
- Cultivate relationships with clients
- Train, coach, and mentor junior staff
- Implement quality control measures
Requirements:
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas
- 8-10 years of civil engineering design experience
- 2 years of Project Manager experience
- Proficient in MicroStation, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with producing construction plans and reports
- Ability to work independently in a team environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects with limited supervision
- Self-motivated and deadline-driven
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and recommend solutions
