Civil Engineer/Project Manager - Urban Development

Introduction:

We are currently interviewing for a Civil Engineer/Project Manager - Urban Development for our Dallas office. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership, guiding business development, and managing engineering projects in the Urban Development Practice Area.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare preliminary engineering reports
• Research jurisdictional requirements for design and construction
• Prepare project work plans and schedules
• Coordinate client management and marketing efforts
• Conduct site visits and document findings
• Lead a team of engineers and drafters
• Prepare and follow comprehensive project instructions
• Review project reports and performance metrics
• Cultivate relationships with clients
• Train, coach, and mentor junior staff
• Implement quality control measures

Requirements:

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas
• 8-10 years of civil engineering design experience
• 2 years of Project Manager experience
• Proficient in MicroStation, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with producing construction plans and reports
• Ability to work independently in a team environment
• Ability to manage multiple projects with limited supervision
• Self-motivated and deadline-driven
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and recommend solutions
