Description
We are looking for a skilled Help Desk Analyst to join our team in Hartford, Connecticut. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in providing technical support and solutions to end-users, ensuring seamless operation of IT systems. This role requires a proactive individual who can troubleshoot effectively, collaborate with others, and maintain detailed documentation of technical processes.
Responsibilities:
Deliver Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for software, hardware, printers, copiers, and other systems during both regular and after-hours periods.
Conduct installations, modifications, and repairs of computer hardware and software to meet operational needs.
Facilitate the relocation of computer workspaces and ensure proper setup and functionality.
Oversee the operational efficiency of the local data center and address system-related concerns.
Manage and support video conferencing platforms to ensure smooth internal and external meetings, including troubleshooting issues.
Perform basic account management tasks within Active Directory, such as creating accounts, managing access rights, and addressing login issues.
Handle onboarding and offboarding processes for employees across various IT systems.
Maintain an accurate inventory of technology assets and document all tasks performed in the ticketing system.
Train end-users on IT policies, procedures, and systems to ensure proper understanding and usage.
Provide after-hours technical assistance on a rotating basis to address urgent issues.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, with at least 1-2 years of relevant technical experience required.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving software and hardware issues.
Familiarity with technologies such as Windows 10 & 11, Office 365, NetDocuments, Google Workspace, and Active Directory.
Experience with video conferencing tools, including Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex, and Zoom.
Knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with users and team members.
Ability to prioritize tasks and perform under pressure while maintaining a customer-focused approach.
Organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage documentation accurately.
