Performance Test Lead

Remote

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage performance testing efforts across multiple projects/releases.
  • Collaborate with business and IT teams to gather performance test requirements and define performance SLAs and KPIs.
  • Develop comprehensive performance test strategies, plans, and schedules aligned with release timelines.
  • Design, script, and execute performance tests using BlazeMeter (primary) and LoadRunner (preferred).
  • Analyze test results to identify bottlenecks, root causes, and areas of optimization.
  • Provide performance tuning recommendations to development and infrastructure teams.
  • Maintain performance test scripts and scenarios to support regression and new functionality.
  • Prepare detailed performance test reports and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement of performance testing processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Coordinate with DevOps teams to integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ensure effective communication and alignment between business, IT, and QA teams throughout the test lifecycle.

Required Qualifications:

  • 9+ years of experience in software performance testing, including at least 3 years in a lead role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with BlazeMeter for scripting, execution, and analysis.
  • Experience with LoadRunner is a strong plus.
  • Proficiency in analysing system metrics (CPU, memory, disk, network) and Cloud infra performance correlating with test results.
  • Solid understanding of performance testing types: load, stress, soak, spike, and scalability testing.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic) is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of modern architectures, APIs, microservices, and cloud environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools and integration of performance tests in DevOps pipelines.
  • Industry certifications related to performance testing or QA.

Education:

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
