Location: Kansas City , KS, Dallas, TX, Atlanta, GA (Onsite only)
Duration: 12+ months
Client: IT Consulting Firm
Job Description :
The Cloud Infrastructure Architect will have experience in customer and stakeholder facing roles with an established success leading deep technical architecture designs focused around Cloud Infrastructure Tenancy build outs from the ground up, as well as customer workload migrations into these tenancies.
You will provide deployment instruction and design details including design diagrams, in support of customer cloud adoption and will be well versed in crafting solutions around blockers that typically prevent cloud adoption strategies from being successful.
The primary assignments of this role will be to perform rapid assessments of clients internal technology landscape and targeting use cases and deployment targets for Public Cloud technology such as in Oracle OCI, Oracle SaaS, Oracle PaaS, AWS and Azure. Additionally, you will act as a primary point of technical contact for customers during Cloud Migration and Cloud Adoption projects, as well as acting as an escalation point for highly complex and diverse issues that require your support and guidance.
As an Architect and lead on individual customer Cloud Migration and Cloud Adoption projects, you are expected to be an expert member of the problem-solving/avoidance team and be highly skilled in solving extremely complex (often previously unknown), critical customer issues.
You will be performing the assigned duties with a high level of autonomy and reporting to both executive management and the assigned project and program managers, on customer status and technical matters on a regular basis, you will at times be expected to work with very limited guidance from management on a day to day basis.
Your advice will be sought out by both the customer as well as assigned engineers working directly with or under your guidance on Cloud build-out and Migration focused projects. Mentoring and teaching others is going to be a big portion of this job. You will be interfacing with lead and operations members of the Database Administration and Applications teams as well, who will be using the systems you and the infrastructure teams design and build out as per the customer requirements.
There are times when you will also be asked to design and test new technologies in the Cloud. You will be expected to be hands-on and be able to work technically, as an individual or part of the team, on the products you are designing Without any doubt you will need to be able to perform hands-on work on your own, in this role This is not a theory/paper-based role Hands-On-Keyboard execution is required. A background in engineering design, building, testing, and ongoing operational support of complex systems is a plus and is perceived by us to make you a more powerful resource in the area of true Cloud support from a holistic point of view. You must have a firm and deep grasp on infrastructure technologies such as how they interconnect and function in the IaaS, SaaS and PaaS systems in public cloud infrastructure. Compute, Networking, Storage technical depth and understanding is a requirement.
Work should be expected to be non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in your areas of specialization. You must be dynamic and have an adapt and overcome attitude to succeed in this role. A relentless focus on customer satisfaction and positive (not negative) energy towards finding solutions to problems is absolutely key.
Because of substantial customer and corporate stakeholder interfacing, a demonstrated ability to work with customers and stakeholders on an independent basis with exceptional communication and documentation skills, while consistently achieving the highest levels of customer satisfaction is required.
