Supply Chain - Program Manager Non Tech 2

Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Supply Chain - Program Manager Non Tech 2 for a contract position in Austin, TX. The opportunity will be seven months with a strong chance for a long-term extension.

Position Summary: The primary role of a non-IT program manager is to plan, direct, and coordinate supply chain and manufacturing operations activities. This role will contribute to the team's rhythm of business. The team focuses on ordering servers for cloud operations, determining which products to build, their quantity, and their location.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • This position involves tracking production lifecycle changes (NPI, EOL, etc.) across our portfolio of cloud products. You will ensure that dependencies and readiness activities have been completed by stakeholders to support lifecycle milestones. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential to properly track status across a wide range of activities and drive action items with stakeholders to ensure lifecycle readiness.
  • A typical day in this role involves attending rhythm-of-business meetings for production lifecycle (NPI, EOL, etc.), logging status updates and actions based on the meetings, and working one-on-one with stakeholders to close actions. The day will be approximately half individual work (reporting, emails, etc.) and half teamwork (meetings, one-on-one with stakeholders).


Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage one's time effectively.
  • Knowledge of production processes, supply chain processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Understanding of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
  • Proficiency in computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, etc.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain or a related field.
  • PMI or PMP certification preferred.
  • 4 years of relevant experience required.
  • 4 years of experience in supply chain/manufacturing operations.
  • 2-4 years of experience in project/program management.
  • 2-4 years of experience with rhythm-of-business (ROB).
  • The ideal candidate will have 4 years of supply chain/manufacturing experience, as well as experience working on new products and product end-of-life from a supply chain operations standpoint.
  • This role offers high-tech/cloud experience and project management experience, in addition to supply chain/manufacturing experience.
