Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Tech Lead Data Engineer to drive data initiatives, lead technical architecture, and guide a team in delivering scalable, high-impact data solutions. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of modern data engineering practices and a passion for building data platforms that support analytics and business intelligence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of data engineers
- Define and implement scalable data architectures and pipelines
- Build and maintain data integrations, transformations, and models for analytics
- Apply DataOps practices including automated testing and quality checks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize and deliver data solutions
- Support data users and ensure data governance and documentation
- Stay current with modern data stack trends and tools
Required Skills & Experience:
- 6+ years in data engineering roles
- Strong SQL and Python skills
- Experience leading data projects and teams
- Proficient with cloud-based data warehouses (BigQuery preferred)
- Experience with data modeling and warehousing concepts
- Familiarity with data pipeline tools (Airflow, Luigi, Azkaban)
- Experience with BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI)
- Working knowledge of Git and version control
- Experience with DBT is a plus
