Job Details
We are seeking an experienced engineer to lead the development of a centralized image capture and data infrastructure supporting next-gen camera validation. This role blends hands-on camera work with backend data engineering to ensure image data is organized, accessible, and scalable across teams.
What You’ll Do
- Build and manage image capture workflows in lab environments.
- Develop infrastructure for automated image upload, tagging, and indexing.
- Define and enforce metadata standards for consistent dataset labeling.
- Integrate with internal tools (Hive, Scuba, FBLearner) for scalable storage and querying.
- Provide APIs and tools for easy dataset access.
- Ensure system reliability, repeatability, and compliance with data policies.
What You’ll Bring
- BS/MS in EE, CS, Imaging Science, or related field.
- 3+ years in camera systems, image capture, or hardware-software integration.
- Strong Python skills with tools like OpenCV, PyCapture, or vendor SDKs.
- Experience with data pipelines and tools (SQL, Hive, Spark, Airflow).
- Familiarity with large-scale image data management and metadata handling.
Nice to Have
- Experience with camera validation or test automation.
- Knowledge of Meta’s internal tools (Scuba, FBLearner, Manifold).
- Strong cross-platform scripting and debugging (Windows/Linux).
- Understanding of lab setups, lighting, and calibration workflows.
