Developmental Services provides long-term services and supports to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD) across the lifespan. Through American Rescue Act Plan (ARPA) funds, Developmental Services is operationalizing multiple projects to build provider capacity and sustainable infrastructure to support individuals with dual diagnosis of IDD and behavioral health disorders. The Project Manager (PM) will direct and manage the projects for the planning and implementation of deliverables across these projects. The PM will develop full-scale project plans and associated communication documents in accordance with PMO standard templates. They will estimate resources and participants needed to achieve the project goals, perform root-cause analysis on gaps, identify waste, and work with the project team, program/project leads, and vendors to drive timely deliverables or corrective actions as needed to stay in scope and on time for successful project completion. They will identify and resolve issues and conflict with the project team, program/project leads, and vendors for project dependencies and critical path concerns. This position will coordinate and plan scheduled project timelines and milestones (using appropriate tools) with all vendors and Developmental Services, developing and delivering progress reports, proposals, requirements documents, and presentations.
Required Skills:
- 2 to 5 years fulltime professional experience as a project manager with mastery of project management skills
and qualifications to successfully execute agency projects with clear and achievable outcomes. - A comprehensive working knowledge of PMBOK best practices, and a current Project Management
Professional (PMP) certification. - A minimum of three (3) years of experience in working with State and Federal Government.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Applications Microsoft Project Management tools, be able to develop project
schedules with all dependencies and resource allocations using standardized templates. - Strong working experience in vendor management, overseeing complex projects with numerous
stakeholders from multiple organizations and reflecting the highest priorities of the State. - Individuals must be comfortable working with the highest levels of the State and are able to contribute to the
furtherance of the States objectives. - Expected to work under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of imitative and
independent judgement.
Desired Skills:
- Working experience with managing projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to draft reports, business correspondence and procedures/technical guides.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Individual has experience in managing a project budget.
